We can be specific: our rugs are woven through manufacturing and weaving relationships in four regions, each contributing a particular strength to the catalog.

Jaipur, India

Jaipur has a long-standing reputation in fine hand-knotted rug production, particularly for detailed Persian-style reproductions and wool-silk blend construction. We list both, because they answer different questions: style tells you what the rug looks like and what tradition it draws from; origin tells you where and by whom it was actually made. You'll see rugs in our catalog explicitly labeled with origins like Afghanistan or Turkey alongside a Persian or Oushak style designation — that's not an inconsistency, it's an honest reflection of a global weaving tradition where design vocabularies travel across borders.

What This Means Practically When You're Buying

If a specific regional construction matters to you — say, you want genuine Tibetan high-low pile technique, or a Jaipur-specific fine wool-silk blend — check both the style description and the listed origin on the product page rather than relying on the style name alone.
